Obama's Coup From the Golf Course

WaPo's Next False Narrative?

Setting:
Thursday, May 18th, 2017

Barack Obama is playing golf at Woodmont Country Club, an exclusive country club in Rockville, Maryland. A club where, apparently, the former President is attempting to gain permanent membership.

One skilled (lucky) player hits an elusive hole in one this day. An event so rare, tradition celebrates it at the 19th Hole, aka the bar, with a round of drinks for the crowd.

For some reason, the tradition was news to the bartender.

Obama, feeling more secure in the setting of an exclusive resort, only has an entourage of five working his security detail instead of the usual cluster, which can be as many as thirty.

It is in this smaller group a conversation can be overheard. Had the ex-President had his usual perimeter, he likely would have remained out of earshot of the other patrons.

Typically, etiquette would dictate--what happens on the golf course stays on the golf course. Many deals have been made, friendships cemented, and large amounts of money exchanged with a gentleman's handshake during a round of golf.

This day, what's overheard is simply too serious to feign ignorance. Apparently an ex-President plotting with a member of the mainstream press, the Washington Post, to fabricate and spin a years old tragedy of a helicopter crash into the ongoing media attempt to delegitimize the duly elected sitting President, is the line where the etiquette of polite secrecy ends.

Copter Crash Kills 3 Aides Of Trump

This was the headline of the October 11, 1989 edition of the New York Times.

The day prior, an eight-seat Agusta 109A helicopter leased by the Trump organization, tragically malfunctioned in mid-air sending five people to their deaths in the woods off the Garden State Parkway near Forked River, New Jersey. Three of the deceased were executives for different Trump casinos. The other two men were the pilot, Robert Kent, and the co-pilot, Lawrence Diener.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang before seeing the main rotor of the helicopter break off and plummet to the ground a quarter mile north of the crash site. There were no calls of distress from the pilots prior to the crash.

A devastated Donald Trump issued this statement:

''These were three fabulous young men in the prime of their lives. No better human beings ever existed. We are deeply >saddened by this devastating tragedy, and our hearts go out to their families.''
This is the story as it exists in history--investigated by the FAA, devastating to the families of all involved, and devastating to the >former businessman and current President of the United States.

Current day sees the desperation of a liberal media, led behind the scenes by former government officials, digging through the archives for a story--any story with the potential to massage it into a salacious scandal to be used against a President who has withstood the constant scrutiny of any legitimate challenges.

The media is looking to delve even deeper into the cesspool of their own creation to exploit a tragedy where real families lost real loved ones in an attempt to fabricate a scandal which doesn't exist.

"Turn it into a hit piece" and "Harvey is running with it" is what was heard being said by the former President. Admittedly, this is heresay.

So distraught were the witnesses to hearing this directive from their former President--a President they supported--to a member of the press, they sought to find someone who would attempt to get the word out before more lies are spread, and more false narratives are introduced to a country in need of healing.

Remember, these witnesses are admitted Democrats, not fans of President Trump, but patriots tired of watching a media gone rogue--weaponized--by a beaten and bitter liberal elite who have adopted a print first--true or not--approach to news, if you can call it news.

They don't worry about the fallout of a false story simply because there will be another one from a different outlet in a couple of days to overshadow any mistakes.

Speaking for myself, it is never ideal to run a pre-emptive story--in fact, there really is no good way to run a story of this type.

I had to make a choice with no perfect option:

• Do I run this story hoping to prevent the Washington Post from publishing a fabrication, to which I can only speculate will include either a Russian or mafia slant involving this helicopter tragedy?
• Or do I publish this story to something like the blockchain where it is preserved as record if or when the Washington Post runs it's fairy tale?
• Who's to say if the Washington Post chooses not to run this narrative, it would be due to my story?
  
  

Gutcheck--always follow your gut.

My gut, along with the recent record of the media running highly unsubstantiated rumors, tells me they are planning on going through with their false narrative involving this helicopter crash simply because it has the elements to make a good scandal.

If I were writing a piece of fiction, I could make a good story out of a billionaire, a helicopter crash, and maybe some Russian intrigue or mafia connections thrown in to capture the reader's imagination.

To the Washington Post

and other media outlets following directions to undermine the sitting President--please, just stop already.

By all means, report the facts on this President, good or bad, but please stop with these unsubstantiated, fabrications designed to tear the country apart.
