What Am I Missing ? What Makes Some People Think The Way They Do ? And Why Cant I Understand What The Hell They're Talking About ?
How is it that I can look at a particular news story and see it one way, and a Trump supporter will look at the same news story and see it completely different. I can't seem to figure out Why there's such a totally different interpretation of "facts", depending on who you voted for in the last election. Maybe i'm wrong, but Shouldn't facts be facts regardless.
I think Donald Trump is a total POS for a wide range of reasons, and have nothing but contempt for him and all his minions. Maybe its because of that, I cant seem to understand how people can support our "Orange Clown In Chief". If Donald Trump can use dumb nicknames to demean people, why cant I
I know it would be easier to just believe they are ignorant, stupid, or brainwashed, or whatever reason suits, but thats not really the case. Most Trump supporters, at least in my part of the country, are older, better educated, upper middle class people who genuinely "work for a living".
Am I missing something? What gives so many people their unshakable faith in this person that I can barely stand to hear speak. The sound of his voice tends to give me that throw up feeling in the back of my throat - and watching him on TV can sometimes put me in a foul mood for hours.I always end up pissing off my girlfriend by yelling at the TV.
Every day in the news, I see another nail in the proverbial coffin. The last couple weeks, a new revalation comes out daily - sometimes even hourly, that Donald Trump and his merry band of co conspirators commited serious crimes.Some stories even point to possible treason by the orange clown himself.
There are so many news stories relating to the Trump white house, its hard to keep track of them all. One day theres a story on the presidont, then Trump JR, the next day its Manafort, the next day its Flyn, and Kushner, and on, and on, and on.
A large percentage of Trump supporters (at least the ones I have bene in contact with), will see identical stories and conclude the whole thing is "fake news", a conspiracy, liberal media bias, deep state mind control, or some other not reflective of the facts excuse to deny whats right in front of them.
Now I can say with total confidence that a large portion of the mountain of shit being dumped on us daily, is likely over exaggerated, blown up, divide and conquer, melt your brain bullshit. However some of it isn't - and that should piss off, and scare the shit out of everyone in America. It dam sure does me...
Well that's my rant for the day...

Im gonna try n get back to one or two posts every day, but my internet is still kind of spotty after the hurricane. Im lucky to be getting at least a few uninterupted hours every day, I guess I should feel fortunate, considering there are still poles down, and people still without power.

I agree that watching politics today is like watching a split screen movie where one audience's narrative and beliefs about what is happening are completely at odds with the other. I don't know what the solution is... it is as a result of the media so very very obviously being biased while pretending to be objective. 1/2 of Americans have given up paying attention to anything that the Mainstream Media has to say to them. The Media has zero credibility in their eyes. And everytime they are the least bit unfair to Trump or Trump's people, this just confirms their bias.
I still have to wonder if the half of Americans who are "ignorant of the facts" were to pay attention, would they see what I see. Or would they continue to believe the unsubstantiated, totally untrue BS that consumes them now.

Here in Venezuela we had enough experience in that, until the government censored all means of opposition. People become a side and take a color (usually red and blue) then become more fanatic to their cause, and do not listen to reasons.
I agree with you "mostly", I tend to be someone who relies on actual verifiable facts, from multiple sources, before I can make an informed opinion. My question here is, how can my neighbor (for example) sit with me in my living room, watching the same thing, with me looking through the internet doing everything possible to support or contest whatever assertions are being made, only to have him dismiss the "FACTS" outright and maintain his world view. This is in my opinion, a very smart person - a business owner, a good parent, and a good friend, but he has an almost religious support for the president. In fact, just like most religious people whos religiosity will increase in opposition to criticism, people seem to be "digging in" politically, as a function of evidence contrary to their beliefs...

I will try to point you to a couple things that might help you understand but I suspect that was a rhetorical question and you probably won't even follow the links but here goes... I have spent many hours, days, weeks, checking out everything Thunderbolts has to offer. As far as the Nine Veils theory goes, I personally have a hard time with the conclusions because it correlates the here and now, then and when, is and was, to some kind of quasi religious belief. I looked at the online translations a couple years ago when Dr. Heiser first publicly opposed Sitchin's translations.(and again 5 minutes ago) Unfortunately I cant read Sumerian (wish I could), so it's impossible for me to agree or disagree with any conclusion, from either side, related specifically to the texts. I guess the question at this point has to be - have you read them ? If you can personally read Cuneiform script, I would love to pick your brain regarding a hundred different topics. In a past life, I was a general contractor in South Florida who had direct personal contact with the "Orange Clown In Chief", and several of the sycophant's surrounding him (a couple who are still latched on to his tit) Now fortunately I only signed a few sub contracts through another contractor, and was spared the financial devastation everyone else with large contracts would eventually have - a lot of good people lost everything. Show me proof that he has contributed to charities (or that single black woman who maybe does or doesnt exist), or that he has ever given anything to anyone, ever. This is where we cant seem to agree, and I see it a lot with people around me, not just in my posts. Show me ONE piece of legislation to support the notion that the orange clown is "a president that actually works", give me ANY substantive executive order he has signed that is going to make Muslims any less crazy, or the police any less murderous, or make yours and my life the least bit better. I guess the one thing Obama and I can agree on (and no I didn't vote for him) "elections have consequences", and the consequences of Trump, im quite certain, are going to be severe. Like I said before, I have dealt with Donald Trump personally - I sat in the same room and negotiated scope of work, pricing, and schedules, I have seen just how slimy and dirty he is up close - and how far he will go to serve his own interests. One more thing I think could help us to understand each others perspective, do a little research and show me one single piece of legislation that the "Presidont" has signed that will show me evidence supporting your assertion - you claim that Donald Trump is "the greatest president ever", I would think there has to be a mountain of bills and executive orders to give weight to your belief.
