Pearlescent Poems # 41: Don't Be Like Me! (Original Poem)
Don't be like me and forget the most important things that are due
Aside from parenting and daily chores, it's the one thing I must ALWAYS do
BACK UP MY DEVICES, yes BACKUP YOUR DEVICES, I hate repetition, but LET'S BACK UP OUR DEVICES
I don't know how many times, I've forgotten this key task, then when something breaks, I'm looking up prices
How much does it cost to retrieve my data? How much does it cost to buy a new laptop?
Is this repairable? This shop's having a sale, let's see the newer models, hey this one's half off!
But at the end of the day, who has the money for this? I have other things that I must focus on.
The window shopping is just temporary bliss, although now I can't create music, feeling all hope is gone.
So don't let this be you, and don't be like me!
This happened in the past more than fifteen times three.
Yet somehow still, time flies and I push it for the next day.
And then the next day finally comes and I'm reminded the very best way.
For an artist to lose their data, whether you're a writer, photographer, musician or designer
It's a dreadful feeling, a steeping ditch, an entrapping hole and not minor
Of course we can get new devices, but the content is irreplaceable
So avoid the hassle, stress and worry, and use that dusty hard drive on your table
Or wherever it is, and handle your biz, don't wait until it comes down to the wire
More often than naught, a lesson was taught, my devices usually break down right after my warranties expire
BACK UP YOUR DEVICES NOW!

For images and following folks, it's mainly an issue of my internet subscription and data limit. Considering the facts that I constantly check for posts to comment on, having these sameness posts load up in my "feed" would mean using up more data (I think).
As I grow tho, and i'm able to support a bigger data limit, I'd definitely do these things.
Another reason for not following anyone yet could be so I don't get stuck interacting with only a certain group. I hope to discover new posts and folks daily.
In terms of the upvotes, I noticed my voting power is 0% and therefore my votes add $0.00 to posts. I decided to stop voting altogether after seeing that. Need to grow my SP as I believe I need to add upvotes to my interactions; if only to encourage people that bless us with great content.
Maybe I'll ask for donations to grow my SP.

That feeling sucks , seeing your past years go down the stairs, didn't experience it with data , but I've lost a pc , so yeah , Backup the Backups , something I've learned from my professional work :D , clean up , start working, clear out :D clan up :) clap !

You know what, I am also known as Mr. Forgetful and I still haven't backed up my computer since I wrote the poem, I shall do so now, if I can just find my hard drive now haha.
