Breath

Breath.

We delight at it's first.
We mourn at it's last.

We pray for it.
We meditate on it.
We worship it.

We hate it.
We kill it.

We toil for it.
We pay for it.

We need it.
We hope for more of it.

We live for it.

Shouldn't we live it?

Image taken by the author at the Tua Pek Kong Temple in Miri, Sarawak, on the eve of the Chinese New Year 2018. Massive incense sticks are offered in thanksgiving and hope of a good year.
