An Original Poem: A Love Poem
My entry into the Hello Hello Group Activity
Just as soon as their eyes met,
She giggled and blushed - a lot,
He was a quite the complete clumsy fool,
Stammering and Stuttering!
He asked - Can I walk you home?
A quick journey took twice as long.
They spoke and spoke of many nothings,
As if lyrics to their own special song.
Pretty soon they went on their first date,
He arrived very, very early –
But she made him wait and wait.
Yet, it was a fantastic night out.
One thing lead to another and another,
Again she made him wait and wait,
Upon the vital question they responded,
Yes, I do!
As water passed beneath the bridge,
The pigeon pair played side by side,
They excelled with excellent and great grades,
Off they skipped to college.
Now that the sun is setting,
Our love birds all grey and passive,
Holding hands on a park bench,
Like cats’ tails inter-twined.
