The End of a Long Journey (A Poem)
Long winter thriving
The warmth of the hearth
he seeks to fight off
the cold world
guided by a dim light
Though unknown where
the light will take him,
it's only light in his heart.
sleep beckon him to come
and many times he almost
succumb but the light
kept him awake
his destination reached
Heart gladdened and delighted,
he cried and laughed
for a home was found
