Understanding Poetry #32: A Poem For Lemon

in #poetry6 years ago

It's very painful to hear of the passing away of a person so loved and so loving in return. Lemon Kpoobari was a man who had so much love for all he came into contact with. He knew the full meaning of love and respect. He respected all who came into contact with him. He knew the right words to say. So caring a man. He gave and gave till he emptied his soul. He came for every one. He denied himself of basic comforts to meet the needs of people who were in need and need help. His faith was paramount. He devoted his time to the things of God. Working zealously in the house of the Lord. So, here's a poem about the emptiness in our hearts:

Till we meet again, dear Lemon,
May the good Lord keep you.
Let Him uphold you
May His direction guide you
Fold you into His bosom
Till we meet in the presence of Jesus.

When the struggles of life confused you
It was God's presence that kept you.
He shall still keep you till we meet again.
And His banner of love encompass you. Amen.

Goodnight Lemon.

To live in the hearts of those you love is not to die.

Rest in Peace.
