Open The Door [An Original Poem]
Door, there she is. Standing, watching you.
Open the door, run through it,
down bellow, down under,
slip between the cracks
into the sheer lunacy of the Neverwhere.
Learn pain beyond the pain.
Learn that death is so final, sometimes.
Meet the Beast, larger than life.
Meet an Angel, locked for eternity.
Step through the door and realise
that there is no reason.
It just is.
This is your life.
A whirlwind of fear and joy and lust.
It is never empty.
Even empty is full of life.
Behind the door there is your Door.
Written on Thursday, November the 24th after reading Neil Gaiman's book Neverwhere. Mind that I read it in Slovenian translation. I will read it again in the original to enjoy all the word plays the way they were meant to be.
After reading it I've learned that Neverwehe is quite an institution with TV services before the book, with comics, radio show, .. There are rumours about movie adaptation, yet another TV series, this time (possibly and I hope not) relocated to the US ... Amazing.

Thank you very much for showing me this door :)
What would Old Bailey say about this birdie?
