Another year gone...
What? Another year?
We just did this, didn't we?
They're going faster!

In the "Comments/Reply" section below, let me know how you feel about the passage of time.
Thanks for your time and attention. I'm here on Steemit because of you, my readers. Wouldn't be here if it weren't for you!
I have very eclectic interests and hope, over time, to write about all of them.
Did you enjoy this post?

It's weird. Not the haiku, but the subject matter. I remember watching a show talking about how different animals process time. Like they were saying that, for example, to a snail, our movements would seem super fast because they were used to processing things at a much slower pace. But to a fly, we would seem slow and cumbersome. I think it might be something like that for people. When you're young, your brain is in overdrive trying to process the world around you. As you get older, you start to figure things out, and you slow down a bit. It makes time seem to speed up.
At least that's my theory. Thanks for sharing your haiku and thanks for the coversation. It's an interesting subject.
Thanks for your very thoughtful response. Time is something I often think and wonder about. But I've been wondering all my life:
I must confess the first photo is what caught my eye...Cannon Beach, Oregon, across the Columbia River from where I grew up in Washington. Seems like a million miles and years ago...I agree the years go by faster and faster. Thank goodness for memories.
Lovely post!
Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comments!
I selected the photo because of its portrayal of the tides, and also for the gripping visual of the prominent rock outcropping. It kind of reminds me of Morrow Bay in California... Quite beautiful!
Beautiful pictures dear friend @creatr. Congratulations
Come by your post to greet you.
My wishes for you and your loved ones are of peace, happiness and prosperity, that in wonderful year 2017 all your wishes will be fulfilled.
Thank you my friend! 😄😇😄

Thanks for the visit,
my literate Steeming friend;
educational!
A flavorful new year to you @creatr!
Curse of passing time:
Drudgery seems eternal,
But joy is fleeting.
Thanks for your visit!
Thoughtful replies seem so rare,
Yours was refreshing!
You could have entered a haiku in the New Year's contest ...you probably would have won. I know we're 'tied' together in more ways than one, creatr, because I wanted to win to help defray my internet costs, but I didn't want to beat you because we're friends
John, Congratulations on your win! I'm glad it was you. Your friendship is more than a win for me. ;) 😄😇😄

hey, that sounds like me...maybe it's true, a friend is a second self :)
Do you live high up? Did you move into a tower block or up a mountain in the past year? If that is the case then time will be moving faster. You could be living nanoseconds faster than those with their feet firmly on the ground!
Hahahaha! Time dilation! But I wouldn't expect to notice nanoseconds, and (besides) in the "relative" view, it would seem just as long to me... only, I would seem faster to you, still living in the lowlands... ;)
Super comment, Dear, Thank You! 😄😇😄

The older you get the faster the years go by.
Sadly, that's what it seems like!
it certainly feels like it went by fast
Lightspeed! :0
