The Daily Limerick #19 - My Co-Workers Hate that I'm Sick

in #poetry6 years ago

Hey, Limerick-Lovers!

DailyLimerickThumb.jpg

We meet again for another #dailylimerick, fresh out of my flu-riddled brain! I had to go to a doctor this morning, so now I'm diagnosed, medicated, and excused from work and jury duty. My co-workers are really having a hard time accepting this. It's a long story, but suffice it to say that...

Those Yo-yo's don't have my back at all!

I know you've got my back, Steemit! And thanks to you, those yo-yo's may not be my co-workers much longer. I'm very grateful for that. On to the limerick!

I'm thinking a limerick a day (34).jpg

As always, share a limerick about your own co-workers in the comments for an SBD reward! Or just offer a suggestion for tomorrow's #dailylimerick topic. I thrive on prompts.

Thanks for reading!

Hello there, @chrisroberts
A nice limmerick again, I think, and I hope that you get better soon (not for your co-workers, though)... I once had a really bad atmosphere in a hospital I was working:

I had some co-workers, well
They gossiped so bad, I can't tell
About everyone
So I said "I'm done"
And told them they should go to hell...

(P.S. I don't wish them to hell, it was just for the rhyme's sake ;) I can see now that they only covered their own insecurities, but at that time it was really unbearable for me)

Hve a great day :)

Tired during each lecture
After that we go out to bay
Bright and good is our future
Whether we learn or play
Is the daily anthem of truant classmates

Sorry!
I have no co-worker, I am still in college.
Hope it will get something ,no matter how bad it is... Hehe😉

Perhaps I'll suggest "college" for tomorrows Limerick.

Cool! An awesome poem! You certainly have a bright future. Enjoy college! I'd be happy to write about college tomorrow. If I may...

A limerick goes AABBA :D That's the rhyme scheme.

The rhythm goes like this:

da da da da da da da da,
da da da da da da da da,
da da da da da,
da da da da da,
da da da da da da da da.

Does that make sense?

AABBA.
Thanks friend.

What's your first language, if you don't mind my asking?

Ogoni!
I am from Nigeria, of the Ogoni tribe/ethnicity

Saw Carrie was sick too. Get feeling better quick so you can finish earning your Steemit fortune and tell em to shove it. lol

We'll be better in no time. The way this work drama is unfolding, I might actually lose my job for being sick. Pretty absurd, eh? I don't think I've ever worked with such selfish people, but now that I know it, I'm sure I'll be propelled to bigger and better things.

It's almost to the point where even if I quit I can draw unemployment. It might come to that, since they've been harassing and treating me so unfairly.

I don't want to babble on too much about it here. I'll probably make a post later today telling more of the story. I'm re-learning powerful lessons about how it only really pays to work for myself.

I am a libertarian at heart so I am always looking for ways to be my boss, but it hard if you are a nurse. I must say though I am sorry your coworkers are not more supportive, I am blessed in that way, I have wonderful coworkes. We are all very spportive of each other. best wishes.

Hey buddy
We got your back here!
Always!

Nice work

Thanks brother! :D

Full time Steeming! I have noticed you've both been stepping up your game recently; the best thing in life is to have goals :)

Steem is definitely placed well within my medium and (hopefully) long term plans. I don't think I could do just Steem, but the deviously clever thing about it is, other activities just end up making great Steemit articles!

Get well soon! We use lemon grass, eldar flowers, orange juice and a bit of honey to make a tea just right for resperatory illnesses. Blessings!

Honestly, my upped Steeming is panic-driven :)

I may lose my job over this illness. It's okay. I've been feeling for awhile that my hourly job is a bit of a waste of time. Plus, I don't know how long I want to press my luck in the semi-legal industry in which I work (Cannabis). There's a lot of risks, and I'm way more comfortable at home with my Chromebook.

We're actually scoping out a new town that we're thinking of moving to. It looks like a better fit in every possible way. Better internet, jobs, community resources, more services, better climate. In Crestone, where we live now, possibilities are extremely limited if you're not a midwife, shaman or guru of some such. ;)

I wish I had some elder flowers around here. That would do the trick for sure. Thanks

Always original here ;)
Thanks!

i love originalworks
