Orchid Selop
Orchid Selop is an orchid species that includes endemic plants in East Java. Orchids with the Latin name Paphiopedilum Glaucophyllum are found in habitatnua in the southern slopes of Mount Semeru, East Java.
The hallmark of the slipper orchid flower has four sheets of petals, of which 2 are the main petals, 2 side petals, and there is 1 labellum. Uniquely orchid slippers have a form of lips that are similar to the plant bag semar.
The shape is unique and different from orchids in general. The uniqueness of the form of lips that resemble a bag of semar or women's shoes (slippers) is a characteristic of it. The size of this orchid is 7.5 cm with the details of the 3 cm petals, 5cm sideburns, and the labellum measuring 4.5cm. In addition, the size of the leaves of Orchid Selop can reach 30 cm and the size of the stem Orchid Selop can reach 45 cm.
The main attraction lies in the labellum or purple-shaped purple flowered lips, with a spotted ornament on the petals. Here's a glimpse of the hippopotamus orchid plants.
