Some days offsite in the mountains

I have spent a bit time in the Chiemgau area due to my birthday and small family trip. Thanks all for your birthday wishes - appreciate this a lot.

I am current in Ruhpolding for some walking and sightseeing as you can see from the photos here.

Ruhpolding is a small municipality of the Traunstein district in Bavaria, Germany and a popular holiday destination since the times after world war II. The village is a key location for German wintersports too especially in the biathlon field.

Today we spent some time on the Rauschberg - a little mountain almost 1,700 metres high which provides a great view.
