RE: The Curator - #Issue 5 - Mash Up

in #photography7 years ago

Hey Dan,
We totally understand, we will try to come up with some ideas over the weekend, this is one of the reasons we created The Curator - with the last three posts we may be in the same boat. We've been talking about what affects post, and wonder what factors affect post - which could be a combination of what time the post was posted, being active and commenting on Steemit, but also being involved in the discord rooms, tags, etc.
We are seeing a lot of knowledgeable posts being undervalued.
We do have a discord stream for The Curator, we haven't given out the link yet do you think that may help with morale and keep motivated being able to chat with others.
There is the ADSactly Community discord which is great for keeping up morale and motivation, also steem speak and steem gigs.

I'll add your post in the discord rooms that I'm in for Steemit post promotion, but can't say if that will help.
I think it would be great to get everyone feeling this way together so we can all come up with some ideas that can help everyone.

Let us know what we can do to help!
Keep your chin up Dan!

Not to be negative, but me going to this ADSactly Community, steemit chat, minnow supports...it's all just more on one's to-do list. With a high chance of no payout. I was looking at where all the money is on steemit. It's in relatively a very few hands. These people are millionaires in steem. I think if they want to keep up with all the new people joining the platform I think they should invest in an entire floor in an office building of full time paid curators. They can certainly afford to do so.

Here you can see where all the money is. If the top 100 steem millionairs each pooled only one million dollars which is nothing compared to their grand total they could make things happen. But a lot of good content creating minnows are just drowning in a sea of minnows like myself, while all the money stays in the hands of a few.

on a further note. I'm now feeling that the platform does not reward good content. It rewards who you know and who you befriend on here. Basically a race to grab the attention and friendship of those who can tip your jar more than two cents. Which is now a mish mosh of minnows pawing at the feet of anyone with clout. Discussing this with @eturnerx who is worth 55k in steem says he feels bad about that......but "there are just too many mouths to feed"

I feel that if steemit has made virtual overnight millionaires at the top they need to take some of that coin and seriously get a 10 story building in India full of cheap laborers or something to help spread the wealth down the line insuring that steemit suddenly doesn't get a bad rap and the currency itself starts to fail. Because if it does a current steem millionaire could see their fortune disappear as fast as it appeared in the first place. They owe it the platform, to the good content creating minnows struggling, and above all else secure their investment and grow this thing properly.

Again take a real good look at that chart. The money is distributed like a third world country. Where all the power and money is in the hands of a few, and the rest of us are like third world peasants begging for a scrap. I've already watched several people walk from the platform who were highly intelligent making good content, because they were trading hours of work for pennies like myself.

I actually did a post using that analogy. The few people that actually saw it, agreed with me. I made a dollar sixty three. Which has actually been good compared to what other recent quality posts of mine have earned.

You can see it here

I'm really glad you care. I'm impressed with your willingness to get involved.

Thank you in advance,

Dan
