Lumix 20 Megapixel Photo Quality Compared: LX10 vs FZ1000
Comparing the LX10 and FZ1000 picture quality close up!
These are STILL Photos and will require a Mac Retina, or a real 4K TV / monitor, in order to see the quality of these images. They are actually 5472 × 3648 pixels wide, but you can zoom in using an image viewer, to see all the detail.
This would require a much larger monitor than a simple 4K TV, but for our purposes, with the right viewer (such as Macbook Preview) we can use the viewer's zoom control to keep zooming in, until we grasp how much resolution is actually present.
I had never seen 20MP images from a camera of this quality! It took my breath away.. you can just keep zooming in, and get more and more detail, of any point in the photo you like! So amazing to see details far beyond the human eye's capability.
Very impressive, and amazing to behold.

Here are the best samples I could find for the LX10.
I wanted to compare the quality to the FZ1000.
As you can see, they are very close. It's difficult to see any difference; these are from the same sensor, are the same size, and have been taken through Leica glass as well, so they are very close.
The one big difference for me, is that the FZ1000 can pull in pictures with so much more zoom. Other than that, the results are very comparable.
For any that spark your interest, download them and look at them through a really good image viewer on a big 4K screen, or Retina macbook, to see the incredible detail available!

FZ1000 is a mirrorless bridge camera without removable lense (one big lense does it all):

I couldn't find out anything that said if this feature was on the LX10 though, do you know @surfyogi?

And yes, that is a COOL APP! It's the best thing about the Lumix cameras, is they work with that app; all the modern cameras: GH4, GH5, FZ1000, FZ2500, LX10, LX100
The Image App can do almost anything the UI on the camera can do; zoom in, zoom out, change focus, start stop video, take a picture. Amazing stuff!
