DO I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME A FULL-TIME STEEMIT PHOTOGRAPHER?
Like many of you out there my dream is to quit my day job to focus on my real passions and interests. Steemit has been a real game changer for me, I've been blogging and shooting photos independently for over 3 years now. Many people assume I must make money because I've interviewed music legends such as Glenn Hughes from Deep Purple and done exclusive photography for countless iconic bands such as Korn, Alice Cooper and Megadeth. But the truth is I never made a single cent until I joined Steemit!
Since joining the platform 3 months ago I've roughly made around $200 AUD, which I used to power up my account. I love the community, the layout and the fairness of the system. Even though the $200 [much less now due to market price drop] is fantastic it is nowhere near enough to quit my day job. However that doesn't mean I'm not 100% optimistic about the future.
Being close to the end of financial year, the factory bosses I work for have made me and a lot of other workers take a week off so they can appear to have saved more money for the business. This gives me a great opportunity to spend a week focusing on my website Sticks For Stones and my Steemit page. Lately when I've put effort into a Steemit post I almost always make roughly $10 AUD. So I figure if I want to do this full-time I need to make around $800 AUD a week, which is far less than what I make in the factory but I'd much rather take a pay cut to focus on something that I genuinely care about.
So I'm going to use this week as an experiment, I'm going to do at-least 5 quality posts this week and see if I can make around $50. If all of them get monetized I will double the amount of posts the week after. At the rate I'm currently making money on Steemit I'd need to do 80 good posts a week and hope they all get monetized! It sounds like lot but if it works, I'd definitely be up to the challenge! I'd much rather spend time writing articles than driving a forklift around in the middle of winter at 4am!

steemit is totally bot dominated nowadays man to get the post featured, so that you get upvoted! But i think you have got what it takes to kick the bot's ass and succeed.

Yeah the bots really do seem to ruin a lot of things. There's a lot of good content here but you really gotta sift through the crap. Way too many spammers and plagiarists. Hopefully those things get fixed before it gets worse.
