Bird Nest - the Great Tit, the Swallows, the Blackbird
On and around the farm are many birds. It is now May and all birds lay eggs or have litter in the nest. Carefully I have been able to take some pictures of three different bird nestles.
The Great Tit nest
Great Tit's are beautifully colored birds that you regularly see in the Netherlands. They often stay winter because the winter is usually not very strict here. In Dutch they are called "Koolmeesje". These "Koolmeesjes" are about to fly out any moment now.
Swallow nest
Swallows are birds that you see more often on a farm. They make their nest with twigs, mud and feathers. This nest is inside the space for the milking robot. We leave the door open, day and night, so the mother bird can fly in and out unhindered.
Blackbird nest
This bird is still busy building his nest. The nest is well hidden in a hedge. The blackbird mainly uses twigs and sand for his nest and sometimes they also use pieces of plastic.
