Cosmos flower
Cosmos is an annual and perennial herb of the Asteraceae family. Other names of this "cosmic" plant are Kasmeya, Mexican aster.
The name comes from the Greek word kosmeo and in translation means "decoration"
Very beautiful and graceful plants with different colors of flowers. White, red, purple, pink. They attract with their beauty ^^
The plant of the Cosmos reaches in height from 50 to 150 cm.
This genus comes from the regions of North and South America, they grow well in the tropical and subtropical climate.
There are 40 species known. The largest number of them - in Mexico.
Cosmetic has no healing properties, but it is very popular for cultivation for decorative purposes. For example, to decorate flower beds. And the advantage of this plant - it is unpretentious in the care and cold resistance.
One of the most popular species is Cosmos bipinnatus. Varieties:
- Dazzler - blossoming inflorescences have a bright red hue, but after a while they become crimson;
- Purity - kosmeya white as snow, with flexible stems;
- Cosmos Sonata Pink Blush - undersized kosmeya, pink with red rim around the midway.
