Eiffel Tower Photos
Last week, my school friends and I took a summer trip to Europe, where we visited London, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, and lots of other cities. Over the duration of the two week long trip, we visited numerous landmarks; the Eiffel Tower was one of our favorites.
During our visit to the tower, our tour guide was able to give us interesting information on the structure. The Eiffel Tower was built for the World's fair in 1889, which was being held in Paris. The tower was used as an entrance to the fair during the 22 day long fair. Although the Eiffel Tower was originally frowned upon by French natives, the local population there has come to appreciate its beauty, and its importance as one of the world's most renowned landmarks
