Today our goal is the Cretan labyrinth!

If you look at the last photo of the previous article, from this series, it shows where we stopped last time. Checking the map, we can see: the green circle is where we stopped, red is our goal.

Periodically looking at the map, you can understand how we moved around the park. Each new article will have a map with our new location. Keep an eye on the articles!

So, we leave the island of Ithaca vee heading towards the Cretan labyrinth:

On the way to the labyrinth, we met many interesting architectural objects.

First a small waterfall:

An interesting column is visible from a distance, let's approach it:

The name of this granite obelisk is "Truncated Column". In the part of the park called the Cretan labyrinth and not far from it Ludwig Metzel tried to create a prototype of the Greek Tempei valley. Later we will see several obelisks in antique style.

There are many bridges in the park, then along the avenue there is a bridge across the riverbed of the Kamenka river, which leads to the Tempei valley.



It is completely wooden and contains forged patterns.


I especially like this frame:

There is something monumental in it!


We approached a part of the park called the Champs Elysées:

Near the entrance to the Champs Elysees lies a granite boulder of natural shape, and next to it is a chiseled tetrahedral polished granite column. These two stones happened to be nearby in Sofiyivka and eventually began to be called the composition "Nature and Art".


The Champs Elysees start with the Cretan labyrinth:

On the rocks like to jump children, and not only! To them often, adults join :)

There is a tree growing between boulders, it has a powerful root system to survive between the big stones!

Do not forget about our main goal: to find as many unique plants as possible.

These plants are unique, it's a Hellebore!
About its distribution on Wikipedia is written:

Various species of this genus originated in Europe and Asia. The greatest concentration of species occurs in the Balkans. One atypical species (H. thibetanus) comes from western China; another atypical species (H. vesicarius) inhabits a small area on the border between Turkey and Syria.

That is, this rare plants... :)

And here's another unique sight! The trunks of several trees were intertwined!
