The mushroom bombardment continues ...

Despite varying light conditions, I manged to get some more (drum roll ...) mushroom photos! You didn't see that one coming, did you? Here they are, in addition to these:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/80

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO200, f8, 1/8

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/13

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO200, f8, 1/8

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/10

I then took off to shoot some pictures of a rainbow, after which the rain became too heavy to take any more pictures, so just five this time.

Mushrooms are so interesting because there are so many varieties. So many forms, colours and places where one can find them.

You must be having a really wet autumn. Or is this season always so full of mushrooms for you?

Always many species, but not always in great abundance. This season is usually quite wet, this year not much so, even the stream next to the peat bog and most of the fens dried up, but still wet enough for the mushrooms to thrive.

That's great you get such variety. They are great subjects for a photographer, because they are so temporary. It's important to capture their portraits at their finest! :D

True that. It requires a lot of walking around in the forest, but that's not a punishment 8-).

If I am the @mindhunter, you should've been the @mushroomhunter! Ha ha!

@ocrdu - you were out during that downpour man?
kudos - I was going out for a stroll when it dropped and was a few steps away from home but I went back running - freaking cold. hahaha
Great shots man!

Thanks! I managed to get into my car before it really came down, I only caught a few drops, as did my camera.
