Peculiar Petals
This wildflower with the unusually shaped petals is called common starwort aka lesser stitchwort (Stellaria graminea), grasmuur in Dutch:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO100, f3.5, 1/250s

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO160, f5.6, 1/160s
Though only native in Eurasia, it has spread to other parts of the world as well, so you may even come across it in the colonies.
It is fairly common in The Netherlands, and in bloom now, so go out and have a look, compatriots!
Nice little flower.
I don't think I've seen these flowers in the UK @ocrdu but I would guess they do grow here.
The petals are really unusual so I think I'd remember. 😊
They do, they are quite common in the UK according to the books.
I guessed they probably would be @ocrdu. 😊
Thanks for the upvote on my comment. I really, really appreciate it but . . . I have learned this week that votes below 0.02c don't get paid out so basically you're wasting your voting power. I am not trying to get you to upvote more just trying to spread the information!
I wrote about it in this post Please do not upvote me unless to explain it. It seems a lot of us have been unknowingly throwing our voting power away. 😢
I also use votes to sort comments ...
Someone else said that to me too yesterday although they weren't aware of the 0.02C. Seems like it most be a common practice for people who get lots of comments. 😁
Mine aren't too overwhelming yet and I usually use GINA which I find to be a really easy way to manage comments. However, it's hours behind at the moment, due to a spammer, and it's not working as it usually which means I have to use Steemit's "replies". It's so inefficient!
I'm just using the fact that they are grey out to alert me to the fact that I've already replied to them.
The flower is really beautiful and a very good herb ... great photography @ocrdu
Flower may be a simple and nice one, but photography level was epic. Good shots.
Thank you.
you are most welcome.😊
That's one I'm familiar with from Scotland.
These white flowers are so lovely @ocrdu I love their shape and their yellow centres. They make a stark contrast with the dark green leaves behind them.
Nice photos of beautiful white flowers! Great shot! ;)
