Moths: Small Magpie
The small magpie (Anania hortulata), brandnetelmot in Dutch, has a wingspan of about 25mm (1") and is found in Europe, Siberia and North America. In The Netherlands it flies in June and July.
Eggs are deposited on nettles, but the caterpillars feed mainly on hedgenettle and mint here.

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO200, f8, 1/80s
I don't think it looks like a magpie at all, but it does have a nice pattern; definitely a moth with butterfly aspirations.
Thanks for watching!

Beautiful macro, wonderful colors...!
Thank you for sharing this picture with us and have a nice day my friend... :)
Love the shape of this ones wings, and the pink flowers!
Those flowers are hemp-agrimony aka holy rope, quite common here in the wild. Butterflies love them.
Lovely, can't wait to start seeing some butterflies here!
Another pretty winged flier.
Wow greate photos
