Moths: Clouded Border

in #photography7 years ago

The clouded border (Lomaspilis marginata), gerande spanner in Dutch, is distributed across most of Europe and east towards Siberia and the Near East.

In The Netherlands, it flies (at night) from April to October, and hides during the day. Some effort is required to find them during daylight, as they often sit on the underside of leaves.

From a distance, it manages to look like bird droppings, and it is mostly left alone by predators.

Thanks for watching!
