Just in: two new flowers (first of this year)
The very first I have seen this year of these two flowers; both photos were taken yesterday in the Aamsveen, a peat bog in the east of The Netherlands.
A marsh gentian (Gentiana pneumonanthe), klokjesgentiaan in Dutch, a rare and protected species here in The Netherlands:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO125, f8, 1/160s
Wild honeysuckle (Lonicera periclymenum), wilde kamperfoelie in Dutch, where the caterpillars of the white admiral live:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO200, f8, 1/60s
This is what honeysuckle flowers look like fully open (older photo):
Olympus XZ-1, 112mm, ISO400, f8, 1/200s
Thanks for watching!
they are both so beautiful and I find it invigorating when you see the first flowers of the year blooming
Oh, wow! But the blue one is really breathtaing :D
Glad you like it!
awesome photos and flowers, hard to find it in Romania :(
Thanks! Both are hard to find?
yes, I never seen these flowers in Romania
very beautiful photo my friend, i like it
Thank you.
Your nature presents a lot of beauty.
The marsh gentian is out of sight. I can see why it's rare.
Lovely blue color, the contrast is very good :)
The bottom flower looks like a trap! Nice flower photos
8-) It does a bit, yes. I'll add a photo of what they look like fully open.
Beautiful photos and great info, thanks!
You are welcome!
Didn't know honeysuckle grow in the wild. I like the first blue one with the spots.
Wonder if you could find some wild growing orchids there...
