Caterpillars: Brindled Green
Not very spectacular, this caterpillar of, I think, the brindled green (Dryobotodes eremita), eikenuiltje in Dutch, but it did its best to strike a nice pose for the photo:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO200, f4, 1/50s
I'm not entirely sure about the determination of this one, but in good Steemit tradition, I'm going to pretend I'm sure.
The moth flies in August and September and is found in most of Europe, but it is rare in The Netherlands.

Looks like there is moss growing on it, doesn't it?
Thanks for watching!
Previous in series: Garden Tiger Moth.
Moths may look like butterfly's poor cousins, but nature has protected them with their blend in markings.
