Butterflies: Green Hairstreak

The green hairstreak (Callophrys rubi), groentje in Dutch. Not seen often, but always a joy to watch.

All these photos were taken in or near peat bogs, but that has to do more with where I like to walk around; this little butterfly is not at all picky when it comes to habitats. It is found in Europe, Russia, and North Africa, so if you're in the colonies you're out of luck.
