The Golden Leaf Moth
This is the beautiful Golden Leaf moth Wingia aurata. The wing tips bend giving it an unusual shape when it is at rest. To me, the shape and colour is reminiscent of a banana :-) If you have a good memory you may recall that in the past I posted a similar moth, known as the Pink Leaf moth.
The photos below were taken with a Canon 7D and Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro lens. Don't forget to click the images to see a larger (1600 wide) version.

The thought that I could mistakenly take it as a leaf and pick it up with my bare fingers give be shivers.
