A Picturesque Fall Festival
The seminary had its annual fall festival this afternoon and all manner of food, fun and games were there to enjoy.
Fresh donuts with hot or cold apple cider smelled wonderful. If you wanted to find your own apples, you could go bobbing for those.
I caught some of the big kids playing on the slide before the crowds started to arrive. You are never to old to play on the bouncy house right?
The fall colors have started to shine in the past week or two. I took a short walk around town to find some gems.
I had to chuckle at the two toned tree with the wrong way sign. Apparently, one side of the tree did not get the memo about changing colors in the wrong direction.
Perhaps the loudest and most laughter filled section of the festival was the dunking booth. If you are wondering why there was a dunking booth available on a 50 degree day, I had the same thought initially.
Of course, that didn’t keep big kids (like myself) or little kids from enjoying the challenge - the bath felt good after time in the gym. A few of the professors even joined in for a 15 minute stint on the pedestal. Their students thoroughly enjoyed sending them into the cold water amidst many threats about grades. The students didn’t seemed phased at all.
I have a Maple that looks like your photo in my own backyard - love the autumn, lydon :)
Oh, those oranges and yellows are lovely. I imagine Deb is enjoying her photography at the moment. :)
Looks like fun was had by all! I love that wrong way sign next to the two-toned tree. That made me laugh.
Me too! It was too funny not to capture. :)
Thank you very much for your good wishes friend @lydon.sipe

Damn straight, Lydon! :D
NEVER too old... ;)
😄😇😄
Lol, exactly! Always young at heart.
A great way of enjoying the day that's looking beautiful and awesome weather too :D
The two tone tree is pretty amazing. What are the chances of catching it in mid change like that? I'll have to keep an eye on the local trees to see if I can spot one similar. Interesting to see the old traditions still in full swing. Don't know about the bouncy castle/slide/thing though? lol
It is amazing. That is the first instance I can Rembrandt seeing at the moment.
Lol, bouncy house is not for everyone. :)
That 2 tone one is so cool!
