Sokobanja – A Wonderful Serbian Spa (Part III)
Are you ready for a little adventure?
If you are, you can climb the heights near Sokobanja. If I could try it, so can you. Mountain trekking isn't very demanding… on the beginners path of only 14,6 km and with just 780 metres of climb up. At the start in the park “Borići” (Little Pines) you can find the plan for all three routes of the Mountain Club “Ozren”, and decide what would be the best fit for your pleasure:

From the start all track are well marked so you can't get lost in the wilderness… with only your smartphone and GPS data.

On the other hand, if you want not to be found for a quiet day, forget your cell battery in the town and hide in the woods… Look at that yellow tree which is trying to hide!

Choosing a track by the expected walk time:

In the first attempt @lighteye managed to get to the second point — alone! Not counting a few frightened lizards in the higher part of the track. Here is a view over Sokobanja from some 550 meters height:

Now, there are days (not like this one) where the Sun can strike very hot on a barren walking track to the top:

Yes, there are many resting places alongside the routes, like this one…

…but you should have a hat for such occasion, or simply choose a joyride down the shady banks of Moravica river…

…which is not dangerous at all, especially if you take care of falling trees…

So, that way there is no adventure at all. Only peace, quiet, water whisper, birds singing, tourist ghasping… usual stuff :) And you have a regular restaurants with a regular big beer glasses and fantastic food.
