One photo a day challenge (193/365) all year long
This is an old dandelion picture. I took it in mid May this year. As you can see the plant was ready to spread its seeds around.
I used to think this plant was grass/ weed, but it turned out to be very good for the health. It is packed with vitamin A, B6, C and vitamin K along with other benefits. People make teas, smoothies and vinegars with them.

Wow this plant is popularly called "apolo" in Nigeria.
Apolo is a pidgin english word for Conjunctivitis.
The plant is called that because it is popularly believed even till date that if the white furry like stuff touches one's face, he/she will contact conjunctivitis.

I guess @markkujantunen has a field of dandelion. I hope he is not weeding away this rich source of vitamins (pun intended). Thank you for sharing it. I am of the opinion it will be a good source of waste to wealth in the chemical synthesis laboratory.
It won’t be such a bad idea to study it further in the lab if that’s what you mean.

Excellent friend Legry your recommendation of the benefits of the dandelion, here I can not see that plant but I can buy it in the health food stores I will take it into account for the next thanks.
