One Year of Photos 16/365 - Bubblegum Ice - Original Work
Welcome to day 16 of a photo a day for 365 days! This is where I post one piece of original work for one year in hopes to spread fun, inspiration and interaction on Steemit.
This shot was from a hike I did at the end of the winter season in Banff Alberta. Things were melting a little bit but the whole walk up to the water fall was pure ice! So what does any logical person do? Bring their really nice camera on a treacherous walk. Right? I got so many neat photos of the ice... ice on ice on ice. Now obviously these were not the colours, I mean if that existed that would be awesome but I took the liberty of playing with colours in Photoshop. I wanted to try using un natural colours and this is what I ended up with!
Paining in photoshop is really fun, just experimenting and playing around. I used the brush tool to paint on the image areas and then played with the blending modes. For most of this I put the blending mode to color and for once layer I used Screen. (if anyone wants to know! :)) I shot this using my Canon 6D, 17-40mm lens at 24mm, f 8.0 and the shutter was 1/6 seconds. The shutter was pretty slow so I held my camera as stable as I could on the railing that was in between us and the waterfall.
I also wanted to say thanks so much for following me! I just passed 300 followers and I wanted to say I am very grateful people have become interested in my one year photo challenge.
Please comment if you like what you see, and follow if you want to join the 365 day journey! I will continue to post one piece of original work for one year in hopes to spread fun, inspiration and interaction on Steemit. Here are the links if you would like to check out the past two days :)

This one caught my attention! It's looks pretty neat. I agree, playing around in Photoshop can be fun! I've been working with a couple of years, but finally replaced it for a tool more fit for webdesign. Though, it saved my ass more than once.
Cool pics! Well done..
