One Year of Photos 14/365 - She Dreams - Original Work
Day number 14! Welcome to a photo a day for 365 days. This is where I will be posting one piece of original work for one year in hopes to spread fun, inspiration and interaction on Steemit! I will also share my inspiration behind the image, how I shot it and gear used.
For this image I wanted to experiment with photo manipulation and image overlays. I liked the idea of painting on the photo and adding light. I had a few images I had taken of blurred lights so I thought I could use that to overlay the portrait. I was inspired to make it feel dreamy and a little more surreal, this was the result I got!
For this image I used my Canon Rebel and my 85mm 1.8 set at f5 and the shutter is at 1/160. I shot using a strobe light that was positioned to the right side of her. The image was edited in photoshop where I did skin retouching, colour correction and added the light.

I'm lazy and I don't like to spend too much time on photoshop. The longer I spend, the worse the image. I use the healing brush and then the plugin portraiture. Plugins are the way to go.
