From LA to NYC, new photography exclusively here on Steemit!
Hey, Steemit! I’m stopping in right before bed to make a quick post and share some new work from my recent trips throughout LA, Palm Springs, NYC and Toronto. It’s been a good day. I’ve moved and sold a few crypto-assets that I’m excited about, a weekend ahead working with @wcpublishing on the Dark Pinup book, and I pulled off a win in one of the most epic Magic: The Gathering Commander games against @tarotbyfergus […if you can read over the deck list in my previous post “King of the Assholes" in Magic: The Gathering EDH/Commander format!”]. It was a good day.
As many of you know, I recently wrapped up a big trip throughout much of the east coast [NYC, Scranton, Philadelphia, Buffalo and Toronto]. I made some beautiful photos along the way, and this week has been the first chance I’ve had to crack those folders of RAW images. Just a few short weeks earlier, I was in LA, Palm Springs and Las Vegas, and those shoots are almost finished for the clients still waiting. The photos I’m posting here tonight are a mix of both trips, in no particular order.
Holly Madison, New York Times best selling author and former reality TV star. I had a chance to work with Holly the last time I was in Los Angeles. Holly and I got in touch through Instagram, through a mutual friend, Claire Sinclair. We’d discussed shooting, then she found out she was two months pregnant. Fast forward 18 months and our stars finally aligned. This new image was from that shoot in a beautiful mansion in La Canada.
Micheline Pitt is one of my best friends. We lost touch for a while there, but since she’s started her own company and brand, Vixen, we’re back to creating the same dark pinup photography we have since 2014. This new photo is part of her upcoming look book release for Vixen and La Femme En Noir.
Christina is a beautiful model and talented photographer that I met in NYC. Unbeknownst to me, she’d been following my work since high school! She contacted me when I needed a stylist for a shoot in Manhattan this past summer. With the Dark Pinup book on the calendar, she booked a shoot during my last trip throughout the east coast. We shot at an incredible space in Allentown, PA called the Bookstore Speakeasy.
@joshbalz in the former keyboardist for Motionless in White, and close friend. I shot some creepy Halloween photos of him which can be seen in my previous Steemit post, “Nightmarish photography w/ musician @joshbalz!”. We called this the “Jon Snow” look, and it came out looking very Norwegian metal. I love it.
Lizette Garza is a brilliant hairstylist […and artist]. She’s responsible for the Holly Madison hair above, and some gorgeous vintage hairstyles for my shoots over the years. I told her to bring her boyfriend along for the shoot with Alyssa Marie and prior to starting, I took a few snaps of the couple together. This dark picture of them together in the study has a very Addam’s Family vibe to it.
Thanks for checking out the new work. I’m exhausted, so I’m going to slip in to a brief coma. Leave me some love for when I wake up. I post almost daily. For more photography, art, illustration and the stories behind the work, follow me here @kommienezuspadt!
