Picture Stories #282 - Snake-necked Turtle
I'm not much a fan of snakes, but I do love turtles and think they're adorable. They are reptiles and are bound to be related to some extent, but it's interesting to find a creature that looks like it's a mutant of snakes and turtles. I encountered this beast in a zoo and it's called the Roti island Snake-necked Turtle, which you can clearly see why because of the way it's neck is shaped.
After reading a bit online, I discovered that this specific creature is a critically endangered species of turtles. It's sad to know that the main threat to this animals has been humans as there is a demand for them in illegal pet trades.

I have heard about turtles. Are they different from tortoise and are they dangerous like snakes also?
Tortoises mostly live on land, while turtles live in the water :)
I just hope that they would thrive so well @jznsamuel and get off the endangered list.
