Picture Stories #357 - Beach View
Seeing the expanse of water from the land is a different experience, while observing the breadth and length of landmass from the seas and oceans can be a totally different experience. I'm not much of a fan of water, but I do enjoy the occasional boat rides, and the below pictures were taken on one such recent boat trip which was very much fun. As the boat draws away from the shore, the land gets smaller and smaller and then comes the moment when there is nothing around you but just water, and it can be a surreal as well as scary experience.
If given a choice, I'd pick the view from the beach rather than the other way round as sitting on the sands of the beach and observing waves and tides splashing and the clear blue sky enveloping the vastness of the sea coast is a very soothing and pleasant experience!
