Canned pickle juice, gooseberries, and balloon shoelaces: Photography at a farmer's market
Our local farmer's market is expanding. As the market grows to include more vendors, the variety and uniqueness of the market is also growing.
For example, in years past, you would not find canned pickle juice from Gordy's Pickle Jar! By the way, have you ever tried a pickleback? Basically, it's a shot of whisky chased by a shot of pickle juice.
You can thank me later. (or not).
Today is the first time I've seen gooseberries and currants at the market.
currants
gooseberries
Even with the new products at the market, the classics are beautiful as ever.
carrots
beets
radishes
I think it crossed the road. ;)
It's great to see the variety and quality at our local farmer's market. It's also a great opportunity to learn about new fashion trends, such as balloon shoelaces.
I've seen it all.

I don't think I've ever seen fresh gooseberries before! Nice post and interesting farmer's market!
@lrich - haven't seen fresh gooseberries either. But I have seen fresh goose doodles :)
Nice collection of local captures!!! My challenge to you is to create a recipe that uses all those ingredients, well, sans the balloon laces. Nice post@jaymorebeet, re-steemed!!!
Thanks @cognoscere- I'll have to think about that one!
