One Summer Morning Of My Hometown 家乡的一个夏日早晨

I came to my hometown during the three-day holiday. In the summer morning,having freshened up, I sit in front of my sunny window, rapt in a revery. The morning, which is the most memorable season of the day,is the awakening hour.

My niece came to me and said:" I would like to take you a place where there are many mushrooms to be gathered." Gathering mushrooms is one of my favorite things when I was a child. So, I agreed readily. But when we got there, most of the mushrooms were gathered by other people. My niece looked very disappointed. But I really enjoyed this place, in undisturbed solitude and stillness.

The lake was surrounded by the poplars and willows, while the birds sing around or flitted noiseless through me, until by the noise of some cars on the distant highway, I was reminded of the lapse of time.

In this season, lotus in the lake still haven't bloomed yet due to growing in the north, while those green leaves were unfolding. Some of them are round, floating on the surface of the lake, some of them looked like small open umbrellas, standing over the greenwaves.

Walking on the path, we were attracted by these beautiful wild flowers scattered on one side of path. It seemed that they welcomed us happily.

These trees and grasses grow so crazily. When a breeze blows gently over the weaves, the surface of the lake ripples.

I love a broad margin to my life. I grew in this time like corn in the night, and they were far better than any work of the hands would have been. They were not time subtracted from my life, but so much over and above my usual allowance. Sometimes I wish I had stayed here silently for a whole day，smelling wild flowers and listening the singing of the birds.

这几天放假，我回到了老家。
夏日的早晨，梳洗过后，我坐在阳光灿烂的窗前，沉浸在遐思中。清晨是一天中最难忘的时分，是苏醒的时光。
侄女跑过来跟我说：“我带你去一个地方，那里有好多蘑菇可以采呢。”
采蘑菇可是我小时候最喜欢做的事情之一。于是我欣然前往。
到了才发现，好多蘑菇都被人采摘了。侄女显然很失望，而我却很享受着周围的一切，————一大早无人打扰的独处和寂静。
湖边环绕着杨树，柳树，鸟儿们在歌唱，有的悄无声息地掠过我的身旁，直到远处的公路上传来的汽车声响，才提醒我时间仍在流逝。
这个季节，北方的荷花还没有盛开。但是一片片的荷叶却尽情的舒展着自己的身姿。有的圆圆的漂浮在湖面上，有的像一把撑开的小伞亭亭玉立在碧波之上。
走在石砖铺的小路上，美丽的野花似乎在列队欢迎我们的到来。
这里树木丛生，百草丰茂，微风吹过，碧波荡漾。

这样的闲暇，我希望我的生活中有很多。我想这并不是荒废了我生活的光阴，而是大大延长了我应有的生命。有时候我真希望自己能静静地坐在湖边呆上一整天，闻着花香听着鸟鸣。
