The light of knowledge

The monasteries in Germany
have been one of the only sources of knowledged in the medivial ages.
Till the renaissance they have run the only schools and have been the only libaries
with sometimes only 10 - 100 books, a monastery with more than 1000 has been extremely wealthy.

The monastery of Hirsau was build around the year 1000
and destroyed in the 17th century with some remants still remaining.

​About the Series
Germany is a diverse country, with many different landscapes, some beauty and bountiful, some barren and harsh -
it has high mountains like the alps, mountainous areas like black wood forest and rolling hills close to my home, and plains with a far horizons in the north - and many, many sights in between.
I want showing you a bit of the variety of my country -
