The cuts in the rocks on my way to Calgary to test drive the 1985 VW Campervan (update) through BC Rocky Mountains:
The following pictures were taken by me with a new Google Pixel phone. Zoom in on them and see the incredible color and detail of what the inside of the worlds crust looks like in British Columbia Canada:
The first two pictures below are a hot stopping place for prospectors.
The location of this rock in above pictures is between Salmo BC and Nelson BC. Nelson BC was the hub of activity during the gold rush around 1890 to 1920 and prospectors are trained to look for rust in the rocks as it is a sign of minerals worth money.
Speaking of prospecting my blog is about investing and avoiding inflation and if you are interested in that follow these links: Inflation - Investing
Here is a beautiful spot - zoom in on the moss:
More cuts in BC:
This one is extreme steep:
More beauty:
Stunning:
You can see the drill hole marks for blasting the rock to make the road:
This one as well - drill marks:
Cutting a corner into the road:
Once I got to Calgary I was able to pick up my 1985 VW Westfalia van and test drive it. The next picture is the beautiful new 2.5 Subaru engine put in. For those new to my blog I am moving into this 50-80 square foot van and living within my means of a $750.00 per month early pension:
The mechanic wanted me to test drive for 1,000 km and at 300 km it proved to expose problems with the shifter and is back in shop now. It was extremely fun to drive and with new shocks, springs, disc brakes and lines, transmission etc., it was powerful and a smooth ride:

we don't have those rocky mountains in our country - and I've never got to cross the border - I love the nature and it feels really great when someone shares such beautiful scenes - I know there are plenty of images only a google search away, but this feels so much alive than those random ones google provides. thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures.
You are welcome. I do it for exactly that reason.
it'a a blessing - i wish you good luck :)

your life is very colourful. you are a lucky person who can travel any where you want. I wish I could travel like you. But you know what? country Borders are the main obstackle for people like us. But I want to explore the world before my death. I want to climb the mountain and feel the forest also want to see the amaizing world with my own eyes. tnx for broadning my dreem.
Amazing rock formations…
Are the carvings from weathering? I am sure I saw a face in one of them…
I’m glad for all of the pics…I almost thought the yellow stripe was a bike lane in one of the photos…so relieved to see it was the center line.
Well, best regards on your van, and the freedom that must come with owning it out right…no fears of a foreclosure, or loss to flooding…just move to higher ground ;+)…
One must know that guys have an advantage over gals in a lifestyle such as this, though I’m sure some would argue not.
Peace!
The cuts are mostly man made from dynamite to make the new road.
hahaha so funny.
Aha...So not etchings...amazing! Thanks for your generosity! Continued blessings...Peace!
Congratulations @greenman
