Kok-Kol Mine
Somewhere above the clouds in Eastern Kazakhstan, there is an amazing, gloomy and mysterious place. It is the Kok-Kol mine (by the name of the nearby Kok-Kol waterfall and lake). Here in the thirties of the last century Wolfram and Molybdenum were mined for the needs of the industry of the USSR. Reliable information about those who worked here is not, but everything converges to the fact that they worked here not on their own. They were political prisoners.
On the territory of the mine, the technology and fuel reserves, equipment and housing remained so abandoned. Thanks to the alpine structure of larch and other household items remained in such good condition. This Ford once drove the ore to an enrichment station located below.
The building of the club, where all the events took place. There are a lot of household items left, but visitors leave their inscriptions on the walls, which spoils the big picture.
The inscription on the wall "In this club we danced with Olechka in 1943."
Even in the hottest summer day, it's cold here. It's hard to imagine how people lived and worked here in the cold. It would be very interesting to learn about the fate of these people, but most likely we will never know anything about them, for information about prisoners was a secret, and now in almost 100 years it is difficult to find the truth.
