"Sooo, what did you take pictures of on your afternoon walk in the forest?"

Raindrops!

And yeah, no drop tops. It was just a part of some hit song currently on Spotify and it started playing in my head when looking at these pictures. I really suck at making up titles for photography.

So, yesterday when I was in the countryside, and after being mostly cooped up comfortably inside, I decided to take a little walk. I of course took my camera with me, as I am unable to walk without it, it's like a crutch, but you can't lean on it, and it's really heavy. So not like a crutch. It had been raining a few days but the weather turned better for a while, a good time to take a little walk.

I didn't want to go deep in the forest, because it's moose fly season, and I fucking hate those nasty things. HATE! I managed to survive with only one encounter, and as soon as I killed that asshole trying to crawl into my hair, I turned back home. Like no, not doing this, no no no, not my thing, I don't like the forest!

Anyways, before the horrible moose fly attack, which I make up to be far more dramatic than it really is, I did manage to snap a few pictures. Of grass, that was moist. Because of the weather, there wasn't much of highlight and shadows to photograph, which is what I looked for, so I had to get in for some pretty little details, and BOKEH!

While I was crouching in the wet grass, two birdies nearly caused me a heart attack when taking flight from a nearby bush all of a sudden! The birdies where some sort of forest chicken birds which is a straight translation of what we call them in Finland, I have no idea what the correct name for them would be in English. So enjoy the funny one.

I of course don't have pictured of the forest chicken birds, because they caught me off guard. I'm sure they would have been more interesting subject to look at for you, but I quite liked looking at the raindrops. I don't get a huge kick out of bird watching, I prefer either cute little animals, or wild game.

On the topic of wild game, dad suggested that I'd go with him to moose hunting when the season starts, and take my camera with me. He would like pictures of our dog barking at the moose. That sounds so stupid in English, it's technically correct but it sounds stupid. I think there is a better term for what I mean, but yet again, don't know it. But when you have a hunting dog, it tracks the moose and barks to let the hunter know where the moose is. I used to go hunting with my dad when I was little, though I wasn't carrying a rifle, and won't be now either, my camera is what I use for shooting. EH EH EH. Jesus, I'm funny.

I think I should go, even just for the sport of it, running in the woods for all day is quite hard, but also fun if the weather is not too shit and you are prepared for it. Also, if it gets cold enough when the hunting season starts, there won't be many moose flies around attacking you! If I decide to go, you will see the results in here.

Good bye and good night!

You might say your dog is flushing out the moose? That might be a better way of saying it. Like when the beaters walk ahead in the fields waving their sticks, beating the grass to flush the grouse on wing so that you can take aim and fire.

I can't imagine what the sound of a moose hitting the forest floor must be like. I am sure it'd make a majestic taxidermy and I love that.

Really wonderful raindrops.

That is a better way of putting it!

I can tell you, if it's a big one, it's quite the THUMP and quite humbling. I am quite fond of corpses too, currently packing all the antlers, furs and oddities to move them into their new home!

People hunt moose? (Mooses? Idk how to multiply "moose" in English - sadly I'm a native speaker.) I just imagine moose(es) bumbling along. Moose flies sound very intemidating. I'm imagining an oversized mosquito with a big round nose and antlers.

I also love raindrops. Short-lived diamonds. Plentiful diamonds.

The plural is moose, pretty easy to remember :P And yes, we do hunt them in here, it's the best tasting, and healthiest, meat out there!

The moose fly is nothing like a mosquito, much more gross. If you google it's Latin name Lipoptena cervi, you see what the suckers look like, but I warn you, they are disgusting! I could imagine a cartoon version of your description about the moose fly, that would be cute!

My kids woke me up in the middle of the night, and for some reason I looked at my phone. I read this comment before collapsing back into the unconscious. And then I dreamed about you talking about moose the rest of the night.

So now, like a lot of your male followers, you have been in my dreams. Only mine were PG.

Haha, that is hilarious! I hope my moose lecture was both educating and entertaining :D

It was. Good dream material :)

Love the top one.
Bokeh, well done on grasses.
Depth of Field or bust!!!

I see you have a soft spot for drops of water. Perhaps it's part of the reason why the hay picture was your favourite in the deserted house post of mine apart from probably being technically the best shot in that post.

Come to think of it, perhaps I should do a drop themed series. I mean, I've happened to take pictures of drops of water on various types of surfaces many times before. Even if it doesn't rain, the garden hose can always be relied on. It's got a nozzle capable of producing drops of pretty much any size anyone would want for gardening purposes.

Ah shit I got catfished by the headline! I came here for the Migos! Your pics are bad and boujee! Lol
