Cathedral on the island of Kant. Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg)
On the left side of the cathedral is the tomb of Kant.Crypt with columns and metal bars.
Now the island is turned into a large park with chestnut avenues, and once it was a densely populated Kneiphof island with numerous streets and houses. War spares nothing.
Wonderful place for walking.
The cathedral itself is in poor condition.
It was completely restored, but the beautiful stained glass windows were lost.
The photo shows yellow metal sheets replacing stained glass.
Nevertheless, this is a lively place, there are many social events.

Auf der Seite der Kathedrale ist das Grab von Kant.
Jetzt wird die Insel in einen großen Park mit Kastanienalleen verwandelt, und auf einmal war es eine dicht besiedelte Insel des Kneiphofs mit zahlreichen Straßen und Häusern. Krieg schont nichts.
Wunderbarer Ort zum Wandern.
Die Kathedrale selbst ist in einem schlechten Zustand.
Es wurde komplett restauriert, aber die schönen Buntglasfenster waren verloren.
Das Foto zeigt gelbe Metallbleche, die Buntglas ersetzen.
Trotzdem ist dies ein lebendiger Ort, es gibt viele gesellschaftliche Veranstaltungen.
