The shooting location wasn't ideal.

Nonetheless this phone still caught the blazing colors splendidly. We're expecting rain to help quench our parched land tomorrow and the cloud layer was stratified and interesting today.

So. Cal can really use the rain that's most likely coming.

Wish I could have been in a less urban environment to capture this illustrious sunset. The silhouetted palm looks pretty at least.

Edit: Here's something interesting, look at the colors in the clouds on this shot:

This was snapped only 1 minute before the previous photo. How quickly the colors in the clouds faded away. I was focusing more on the cropped portion when selecting my favorite. In the uncropped wide view this one is much more striking.

It just goes to show that timing is everything.
