I saw "The Revenant" movie with L. DiCaprio yesterday. My wife was delighted with the beauty of nature in the movie. And I seemed very familiar silhouettes of the mountains. Today I read on the internet that it was filmed in different places, including Alberta and Banff. Cool!
Yes, a lot of filming is done in Canada due to the cheaper costs of making films @boddhisattva!
