Shrines

Shrines are wonderful oases from the noise and hustle and bustle of everyday life. The are usually thick with trees and other green growth which both visually hides the outside world and also absorbs a lot of the sound of the city, making them also more peaceful and quiet areas. Sometimes when I want to read a book quietly or just enjoy nature, I will come to the shrine to sit and relax.

Spinning Shrine

The rolling shutter technique is one I don't use nearly often enough. It always produces wonderful results. In this case, there wasn't quite enough light so rather than curve the world, it gave me these wonderful motion lines, making a neat effect.
