Athabasca River and Falls
The Athabasca river originates from the massive Columbia Glacier in Jasper National Park, Alberta. It is also the longest river in Alberta, a whopping 1,538 km (955m)!
Rafting adventures on the river are a popular activity for thrill seeking tourists, for the not so adventurous, there are plenty of hiking trails! Here is a collection of photos I took on our last trip there a few years ago. The natural beauty of this area is a sight to behold and a highly recommended destination next time your in the Jasper Park area!

Nice photo's. Will have to visit someday. Ah behold, the power of water and minerals (rocks) ;)
Thanks so much @cyber-punk!
Amazing beauty!
Thanks for looking @boddhisattva!
It's amazing to see the lines in the rocks...showing where the water used to be.....and I can hear the roar of that river! What a beautiful place to hike. Gorgeous photos as usual :)
Yes those rock lines are certainly interesting, thanks for commenting @countrygirl!
