Vintage Photos - eBay Set #1 (33-36)

I made some impulse buys after getting a new scanner and picked up a huge batch of slides a while back. These pictures span from as early as the late 1940s to as late as the early 1990s. These were from Goodwill and eBay (sometimes via estate sales). There are many thousands of these slides. I will be scanning some from time to time and posting them here for posterity.

This set continues a batch of slides that I bought on eBay a while back. I don't have as much to go on as to the ultimate origin of these compared to the previous batch. They came to me from eBay and most likely were picked up at an estate sale by the seller. Most of them seem to be taken in the 1960s and same individuals are included in most of the photos. It looks like there are some that were taken in Miami and some that were taken in New Jersey and perhaps elsewhere. I get the impression that Miami was a vacation spot for this family.

All of the slides in this set were processed in 1965. Most of them appear to be on a beach vacation somewhere. Possibly Miami or elsewhere on the East coast of Florida. If the processing date is close enough to the actual date they were taken, this could have been Labor Day weekend.

In the first, a man has fallen asleep reading a piece of pulp fiction called 'The Way With Women' by Rick Rand. "She had everything men would want, but she also had a way of making them suffer before they could possess her..." says the cover.

In the second, another man poses on the beach with a seaweed beard.

The third photo is obviously from a different time and place and features a family posing by a canoe next to a lake. There was another photo of another group of people at this same spot in a previous set.

The last photo is another shot on a Florida beach (probably), this one of a girl. This looks a lot like the Cocoa Beach area to me but I know there at least some in this batch that were taken in Miami.
