7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday - the absolute winner takes 150 SBD!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 150 SBD! Today you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Europe.

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture to be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive an upvote from me from which I will pick one winner that will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.
The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 15 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 150 SBD in total.

This is an image from the Pacific Ocean showing some of it's raw wave power. This is a rock platform that sits out off the coast of NSW, Australia. The waves come from deepwater hitting this shallow rock ledge creating some really gnarly barrels and is a big attraction for local surfers.

Europe... damn, this is so tough to choose given all the wonderful sights and photos I have. Here is one of my absolute favourites because of the timing and light of the photo. I call this one "THE ENLIGHTENED MONK" taken in the St Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, Rome.

It's probably quite simply one of my favorite shots.
I took this photo on a weekend trip in Paris during a summer two years ago. I already had a certain concept in my mind which I wanted to realize, therefore, I experimented a little with the angle of the camera until I was satisfied with the result.

The first time I went to Cesky Krumlov, in the Czech Republic, some friends spent a lot of time in a shop and I got bored. I went outside and sat on the street, then I saw this man just looking out his window and chilling. So I made this frame. It's still one of my favorites.

One of the most beautiful bridges in the world. I watched the sunset on the shore of the Danube near the Chain Bridge this summer and it was one of the most peaceful experiences in my life.

The Wadden Sea is one of a kind worldwide. The Ijsselmeer is in the north of the Netherlands and separated from the North Sea by a huge dam to control the tides. You see the a typical "platboden" ship which has no keel to sail in the shallow waters. Enjoy 👍🏻

I visited Paris in spring, when everything was green already. In this picture Sacre Coeur is visible on the top of the hill. Paris is really romantic and I hope to go back there and explore this city more in future!

This picture is from Alesund, Norway. On or around the summer solstice each year, the town lights a giant bonfire, called Slinningsbalet. The town tries (and usually succeeds) at setting a world record each year for the tallest bonfire. This picture was taken during the construction of the 2016 bonfire which set a record at 47.4 meters.

I traveled solo for 2 weeks a couple of months ago and this is one of my favourite shots from the trip.To describe this place , its Magic. I've seen this place in pictures but there is no better feeling than seeing it in real.Normally I'm the kind of the person, seeing a building or monument , it would be like that's amazing and what's next. But there is something so special about this place that I don't know what it is.Definitely one of my all time favourite monuments.

Hey @czechglobalhosts! Finally Europe! I was sitting between two pictures so gonna post them both but the first one is my primary, although if you like the other one better go a head!
From a post sunset at the shore of amazing Greece, I never get tired of the Baltic countries and their amazing sunsets! Truly what i would call the paradise of Europe.
The other one is a bit more center Europe in the northern Slovenia that I took of myself after climbing the highest point in Slovenia(with a road) by bike!
