PORTRAITS OF ISTRA - Episode 6 - PULA : PICTURES FROM THE PORT IN THE MIST

in #photography5 years ago

... well ... this isn't actually about the whole port ...
IMG_3726malo.jpg
... but just the small, a bit secluded area ...
IMG_3729malo.jpg
... with old, unused structures ...
(Enlargeable)
...
... small, makeshift - looking docks ... that are actually pretty permanent ...
(Enlargeable)
... and some interesting wooden constructions ... with small blue houses on them ... to small for humans, so is easy to imagine that some strange small harbor inhabitants are living in this, a bit forgotten place ...
IMG_3695malo.jpg
... you can find plenty of rusted things here ...
IMG_3720malo.jpg
... rusted things of various size ...
(Enlargeable)
... some of them very large ...
IMG_3733malo.jpg
... "THIS IS MY WORLD" someone wrote a long time ago ... it's a very old graffito ... and in combination with the misty atmosphere, sounds pretty cool ...
3756malo.jpg
... many stones, concrete pieces and rusted objects are carpeted with these shellfish ...
IMG_3736malo.jpg
... I like this quiet place ...
(Enlargeable)
... not far from the city center ...
IMG_3718malo.jpg
... I often come here in search for post apocalyptic details that remind me of the Water world movie :) ... that I found very entertaining ... and I really like ... :D and completely disagree with the general opinion about that movie ... and I don't think that it's a perfect or perfectly great movie ... but I do think that all the silly things in the movie are funny and kind of cool, and that is a great and spectacular entertainment with some great visual stuff in it - and after many highly regarded boring, uninventive and shallow movies masked as something intelligent, I like to praise this post apocalyptic, flooded but memorable, mess :D ...
IMG_3694malo.jpg
... and I also like ...
IMG_3702malo.jpg
... to go in search ...
IMG_3699malo.jpg
... for interesting shapes ...
IMG_3698malo.jpg
... and shifting reflections ...
IMG_3693 malo.jpg
... that can create unique visual moments ... here in the calm and shallow water ...
(Enlargeable)
... lovely illusions ready to be discovered ...
IMG_3670malo.jpg
... and then ...
(Enlargeable)
... very often in this colder part of the year ....
IMG_3668malo.jpg
... there is the mist ... that comes crawling from the sea ...
(Enlargeable)
... and adds a lot of charm to the scenes ...
(Enlargeable)
... as always in these posts on Steemit ...
(Enlargeable)
... the photographs are my work ... THE END.

I also like the post-apocalyptic feel

:) Is great to have small post apocalyptic - looking patches without the actual apocalypse.

Thank you

Wow the fog is post apocalyptic looking. I also like the mirrored water reflections.

:) A bit of rust and fog can do a lot for the atmosphere.

Be sure to have your tetanus shot up to date.

Borjan, my distant friend, sometimes with your another post I have this feeling (again and again): its so great that we met on steemit! which happened actually quite randomly.

I appreciate this your post very much. I love locations like this very much (tho I rarely find myself in a places like this -- one hand probably would be more than enough to count). These are the images I enjoyed more:

I have one shot of this sort, with a flower growing on a rotten rope. I will share it one day, and hope I will not forget to mention you!

I often come here in search for post apocalyptic details

lol! I totally support you on this.

the lightbulb and tree trunks pic is so good that it can decorate any portfolio, in my opinion. maybe its a simple work with minimum efforts involved, idk, but... anyway its great! (btw did you add a lot of editing to this one? or it was shot exactly "as is")

next time. 8-)

Thank you :) for the feedback and compliment ... is great to have creative friends on Steemit who appreciate work and creativity, it's a great incentive to invent and create stuff and have fun with it ... I remember the first months on steemit and how desolate and boring the place looked to me back then :) ... fortunately now looks like a real community thing, Thanks

I love this entire series of misty photos! Excellent work!

Thanks :)
