ASH GUARD A COMMON VEGETABLE WITH HIGH DEMAND. ITS SIMPLE AND BIG IN SIZE
Ash gourd is probably India's sub-continental species. It is grown in all types of soil. Growing seasoning starts from February to March. It can take 45-60 days to grow fully.
Ash Gourd leaves are good spinach. There are various uses of ash guard such as cooking with vegetables, fish and other vegetables, sometimes with groundnut.
Here you can see some young ones are ready to grow.
This is commonly known as Chal kumra in Bengali.
Nutritional quality- Ash guard is nutritious vegetable. It contains various types of vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, fat and calcium.
Medicinal quality- It's seeds destroy the worms. And with sugar mixed with juice, it is better to have untreated disease.
